Help insight become
something your clients can live

Meet I AWAKE: guided books, audio and body-based practices created by Camilla Wellton to help people bring self-understanding into everyday action.

For therapists, coaches and facilitators who want to give their clients something meaningful to work with between sessions.

First, meet I AWAKE

I AWAKE is a universe of illustrated books, guided audio, reflective writing and body-based practices created by Camilla Wellton.

Its purpose is to help people move from understanding themselves to doing something differently in ordinary life. Asking for what they need. Recognising a familiar reaction. Making a choice they can stand behind.

The books give that exploration a structure. The recordings guide it. The prompts and body maps help people notice their own experience, and the everyday practices give them something to try beyond the page.

Three connected paths

The Sensual Hero’s Journey is the main nine-book series introduced below. It explores identity, emotional needs, connection, thought, feeling, pleasure and desire.

The Creative Hero’s Journey explores choosing a direction, giving yourself permission to express it and developing the capacity to sustain the work.

The Hidden Hero’s Journey explores perception, imagination and the inner patterns through which people make meaning.

They offer different ways into human development. You don’t need to introduce your clients to the whole universe at once.

Understanding is a beginning
What happens next matters

Someone may understand why they keep saying yes and still agree to something they don’t want. The next step needs more than another explanation.

In I AWAKE, a human capacity means an ability a person can practise: recognising a need, distinguishing a feeling from an interpretation, expressing a boundary or receiving care. The aim is for repeated, manageable actions to build on one another, until understanding has more influence on how the person lives.

Notice

For example, notice the tightening, the anticipated disappointment and the quick yes arriving together. Separate what happened from what you expect it to mean.

Try

Rehearse one usable response: Let me think about that and get back to you. Then try it in a suitable everyday situation, rather than waiting to feel completely different.

Build on it

Return to what actually happened. What helped? What needs adjusting? Bring that experience into the next attempt or the next conversation with your practitioner.

A book you work with
A voice that guides you

Each book in the nine-title series is a guided seven-day journey with eight chapters: seven stages of exploration and a final integration journey that helps bring the experience together.

Each stage includes an opening audio with Camilla, the day’s chapter, four writing prompts, a body map and a closing audio. The seven-day structure offers a rhythm, not a deadline or a promise that a long-standing pattern will change in a week.

Understand what is happening

The teachings introduce the nervous system and the relationships between attention, bodily responses, emotion and interpretation. They draw on areas including attachment, emotion regulation and interoception: sensing what is happening inside the body.

The language stays close to life. A message you keep checking. A conversation you replay. The moment you abandon your preference to keep things comfortable.

Guided audio, including imaginal journeys, offers another way to explore the same questions through attention, sensation and imagination.

Make it your own

Writing prompts help a person connect the teaching to their own circumstances. A body map is a place to mark and describe sensations on a body outline, using words, colour or drawing.

That might mean recording pressure around the chest, warmth in the face or a change in breathing, then considering the context. A sensation is something to explore, not a verdict about what a person should do.

Reflection leads towards a small action to try, review and practise again. You can adapt the pace and the material to the person you work with.

Nine journeys
Different parts of the same life

The Sensual Hero’s Journey moves from identity and emotional needs through past experience, bodily connection, thought, feeling, integration, pleasure and desire. Here, sensual means working with lived sensory and bodily experience. It doesn’t mean every book is about sexuality.

The titles form a connected series, with a different focus in each book. A client can begin with the question that matters now. You don’t have to prescribe all nine.

That's Not Me

1 · Identity and inherited roles

Explore the roles that made someone helpful, strong or easy to love, and the preferences those roles may have crowded out. Practise making kindness or strength a choice rather than a condition of belonging.

Living on Love Crumbs

2 · Emotional needs and attachment

Notice when small amounts of attention keep someone reaching without feeling met. Explore the difference between being wanted, praised or needed and receiving care that actually reaches them.

They Said Time Would…

3 · Grief and old protective responses

Explore what happens when a present moment brings an old feeling or reaction close again. Make room for grief while practising a response that takes current circumstances and choices into account.

I Want to Be Touched

4 · Body connection, receiving and consent

Explore closeness without losing contact with personal preference. Practise noticing what feels welcome, what doesn’t, and the difference between wanting more, wanting less and wanting to slow down.

Seduce My Mind

5 · Thought, attention and interpretation

Explore how a sensation becomes a convincing story and how overthinking gathers authority. Practise observing a thought, checking its interpretation and returning attention to what is actually happening.

Unleash My Heart

6 · Emotion, meaning and discernment

Make room for anger, tenderness, jealousy, grief and joy without treating every interpretation as fact. Explore what emotional replay keeps supplying and listen for the need beneath the intensity.

All of Me

7 · Bringing body, mind and heart together

Work with moments when bodily sensation, thought and feeling disagree. Practise making room for a complicated answer, such as wanting something and needing to go slowly, instead of letting one response silence the others.

Pleasure Is My Medicine

8 · Pleasure, nourishment and enough

Explore the difference between reaching for stimulation and receiving an experience that feels nourishing. Practise noticing preference, making adjustments and giving pleasure a place in ordinary life. Medicine is a metaphor here, not a treatment claim.

I Want It All

9 · Desire, imagination and everyday creation

Discover the experience beneath a desired outcome: freedom, belonging, aliveness or something else. Use sensory imagination and reflection to connect that desire with a real choice, conversation or change in the calendar.

One question
Several ways to work with it

The distinction is how the parts work together. A person isn’t left with a blank journal and an instruction to reflect, or a collection of unrelated recordings to assemble into a pathway.

The teaching, audio, prompts and body map return to the same theme from different angles. Someone may recognise an experience through an image or a sensation before finding the words for it. The next step is to connect that recognition with something they can try.

You keep your professional judgement. Choose a relevant journey, adapt the pace and combine it with the work you already do. Completion is not the goal in itself; what the person notices and brings into life matters more.

The material is research-informed education and guided exploration, not a clinically validated treatment package. Its psychological ideas, symbolic language and practices should be considered on their own terms. The research background is available for a closer look.

A platform for therapists
coaches and facilitators

The books introduce the work. The practitioner platform gives you and your clients a place to continue it between meetings.

We call it I AWAKE Practice. Bring readings, guided material, your own files and client reflection together, rather than scattering them across emails and attachments.

Use it for individual clients, classes or groups. You choose what belongs there and how it fits the work you already do.

Your client can return to a reading, try a practice and reflect on what happened. The next meeting can begin there, rather than with a search for last week’s attachment.

You decide the pace, the material and what to leave out. A useful structure should support your judgement, not replace it.

Inside I AWAKE Practice

A place to read, understand and practise

The platform also brings together nine standalone practice tools and a reference library. These are distinct from the nine books introduced above and can sit alongside a journey or your own material.

A practice raises a question. The Glossary clarifies a term. The Human Capacity Framework explains what is being practised. The Reading Room adds context. You choose which connections are useful.

Glossary

The Glossary explains relevant terms, so an unfamiliar word doesn’t become a barrier. Find a useful distinction, then return to the question that brought you there.

Human Capacity Framework

Explanations of each human capacity help people understand what they’re developing. Alongside these, Sensual Capacities describe finer abilities around sensing, pacing, pleasure, preference, agency and relationship.

These are ways to explore experience, not diagnostic scores or personality labels.

Reading Room

Read further into the questions a practice opens. The Reading Room adds context around attention, creativity, relationships and embodied experience, with material to return to or discuss together.

Clients, groups and community

A place for the way you work

One-to-one work and a shared programme need different things. Create a private client space or a practitioner-led cohort, with material and participation settings suited to the work.

Clients have their own experience, without the administration that belongs only to you.

Individual work

A space of their own

Choose practices, readings, assignments and files for one client. They can write privately and choose what to share, without being sent through a whole programme they didn’t ask for.

Group work

Together, by choice

Create a cohort for a class, workshop or ongoing group. Share resources without making personal reflections public, or enable conversation where shared participation belongs. Make the audience for contributions clear.

Peer exchange

A practitioner community

Ask practical questions, compare ways of introducing a resource and learn from other practitioners. Peer exchange supports the work; it doesn’t replace supervision or clinical consultation.

When a sequence works, save it as a template. Adapt it for another person or group, change the order and leave out what doesn’t belong. You don’t have to build everything again.

Access

No separate platform fee

For practitioners using I AWAKE bundles with their clients, practitioner platform access is free, with no recurring platform subscription. Clients have no separate Practice access fee for entering the spaces you create for them.

Purchased materials, your professional fees, custom commissions and external service charges remain separate. We’ll confirm which I AWAKE material is included in your bundle.

This professional offer is separate from the consumer Practice Space subscription. Read the access and bundle details, or ask Camilla for prices using the form below.

A small beginning

Start with one client or one group

You don’t have to move your whole practice. Start with one relationship, one class or one sequence. See what is useful before deciding what belongs next.

Your first space

Choose

Choose a practice or resource that relates to a real question in your work. Add your own material where it serves the person better.

Invite

Introduce the space to your client or group. Agree what to try, what can be shared and how you’ll return to the experience together.

Return

Come back to what happened, not just whether something was completed. Adapt the next step to the person, rather than asking them to fit a fixed sequence.

A note from Camilla

Built around people, not streaks

I created I AWAKE around the relationship between what we understand and what we can practise in ordinary life.

The books and guided journeys bring together reflective writing, bodily attention, imagination, audio and everyday practice. The Sensual Hero’s Journey explores sensation, emotional life and connection. The Creative Hero’s Journey explores possibility, permission and capacity. The Hidden Hero’s Journey explores perception, interpretation and the inner world. Practice gives this material a home alongside the work you already do.

There are no streaks to protect or leaderboards for self-awareness. The point is to give people somewhere to return, with enough structure to help and room for their own lives.

A few practical things

What about bookings, calendars and video?

Practice includes sessions, availability, booking rules, reminders and cancellations. Supported Google Calendar, Google Meet, Zoom and payment connections depend on your setup. We’ll confirm what is available; external service charges remain separate.

Does this replace my method or professional records?

No. This is a place for practice material, reflection and continuity. It doesn’t diagnose, prescribe treatment or replace professional judgement, therapy, medical care or crisis support. It isn’t a clinical record system. Your professional responsibilities remain yours.

Who can see a reflection?

Private writing and deliberate sharing are separate. Clients choose what to bring into shared work. In groups, visibility depends on the participation settings. Agree who can see contributions and whether, and when, you’ll respond.
